On 21 April, Nong Rong, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, visited SJTU-APGI, accompanied by Sun Haiyan, Chinese Ambassador to Singapore. The delegation comprised members from both the Foreign Affairs of China as well as the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Singapore. They were hosted by the Dean of SJTU-APGI, Peng Yinghong, and the Director of the Energy and Environmental Sustainability Solutions for Megacities Programme (E2S2), Tong Yen Wah.
The guests were then invited to a presentation by Peng on SJTU-APGI’s activities and progress, focusing on the large-scale E2S2 project. The day then cumulated with a visit of the Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise (CREATE) as well as the E2S2 laboratory led by Tong.
