Professor
PENG Yinghong
Distinguished professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and visiting professor of National University of Singapore (NUS), Professor Peng Yinghong has been appointed as the dean of the newly established SJTU Asia-Pacific Graduate Institute on 28 July 2019. He is also the director of SJTU’s Institute of Mechatronic Design and Knowledge-based Engineering. His research areas include knowledge-based engineering, materials plastic forming and numerical simulation technology, machine learning, as well as mechatronics design.

Professor Peng leads as the program director for CREATE’s Energy and Environmental Sustainability Solutions for Megacities (E2S2) project, a major collaboration between SJTU and NUS since 2012. He is also in charge of many important projects in China, such as the ‘Key project of Natural Science Foundation of China’, ‘National High-Tech Research and Development Key Program’, as well as several international projects. He has published over 300 research works, including journal papers, and books. In 2014, he received the National Science and Technology Award of China.

XU Min
Associate professor in Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). Xu Min was appointed as Vice Dean of SJTU Asia-Pacific Graduate Institute (SJTU-APGI) in January 2024, assists the Dean in Planning, Human Resources, Finance, and maintaining and exploring relations with external organizations in Singapore and Southeast Asia, as well as coordinating with home university SJTU on the implementation and operation of key directions.

Before joining SJTU-APGI, Xu Min has served serveral positions at SJTU for the last 3 decades. Being the Assistant Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering, she was responsible for coordinating collaboration with partner universities for international engineering education. In 2009, she was promoted to Vice Dean of the School of International Education, and then the Director of International Student Center and Deputy Director of International Affairs Dvision, in charging of the recruitment and administration of international students. In 2017, she was appointed as the Vice Dean of newly established China-UK Low Carbon College. She supervised the administrative and student affairs, contributed herself to cultivating the young talents in sustainable develoments and solving the problem of global warming.

XI Junfang

Dr. Xi Junfang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, specializing in International Economics and Trade. She currently serves as Vice Dean of SJTU-APGI, overseeing academic affairs and leading strategic initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region as Chief Representative of Antai College.


Since joining Antai in 1997, Dr. Xi has held a variety of significant roles, including Program Director for the Integrated MBA and the SJTU-USC Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) programs, where she co-taught the Global Business Module. Dr. Xi has a longstanding commitment to international collaboration, demonstrated through her roles as a visiting scholar at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2001 and the University of Southern California (USC) in 2010. From 2013 to 2019, she served as Dean of the Confucius Institute at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, where she taught “Chinese Business Management” and “Global Business Practices” as a guest professor at UNSW Business School and contributed as an adjunct researcher at the CIBEL Center in UNSW Law.


Her academic influence also extends into industry, where she served as Senior Advisor to Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group and established the Yangtze River Academy, enhancing the group’s educational impact.
