On 19 - 21 September, Associate Professor Xi Junfang, chief representative of the Antai Asia-Pacific Center, SJTU-APGI, was invited to attend HUAWEI CONNECT 2022 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok. Themed “Unleash Digital”, this year’s Huawei Connect brought together more than 8,000 attendees to explore how the digital technologies like ICT, the cloud, AI, and 5G can be practically applied in different industries to efficiently unleash their value.

In this event, digital transformation in the education industry was discussed in a special session - Accelerate the Digital Journey of Education. Professors and experts shared their views of how important digitalisation of education is. Huawei proposed to leverage their all-scenario education solutions which aim to accelerate digital transformation by using innovative teaching methods, inclusive education resources, as well as improving management, education and research resources and capabilities.

Xi also visited the Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) X Huawei Global Education Demo Site which showcases SWU's success in smart education transformation. This project adopts Huawei’s campus network solution which provides the campus with full Wi-Fi 6 technology coverage, wireless access and free mobility “anytime, anywhere”; coupled with secure, efficient and energy-saving data centers, storage and Cloud. This collaborative initiative aims to make SWU an “Innovative University” and has set a digital transformation benchmark for universities across the region.
